Seminar
Thursday 12th June 2025 from 16:00 to 17:45
Resilience of buildings and public spaces to heat waves
Limited places

The 4 errors are:
- The green parasol absorbs 60 % of heat when exposed to the sun.
- An elderly person is sitting in direct sunlight without any protection.
- The colour and length of clothing amplify the absorption of solar heat.
- The windows are not fitted with blinds, which increases exposure to the sun.
With heat waves on the increase, how can we guarantee thermal comfort in our buildings and public spaces without systematically resorting to air conditioning? What levers are there to improve the thermal resilience of our built heritage?
We invite you to a day of reflection and discussion with experts from the building, urban planning and health sectors, to identify practical solutions that can be applied to your projects.
This seminar will give you a better understanding of the climate and regulatory issues, enable you to discover innovative and tried-and-tested solutions, discuss with experts in the field and witness a real-time demo of how to use the EPIQR+ tool.
The aim of this event is to bring together the various players involved in this issue to share their perspectives, have a round-table discussion with participants, and explore together the scale of current and future challenges, possible solutions, and ways of effectively coordinating efforts.
We look forward to welcoming you to the event and to continuing the discussions at the convivial aperitif that will bring the event to a close.
