News May 2025

Invitation to a seminar 12th June 2025 on the thermal comfort of buildings in the face of heat waves, organised by Estia SA and EPIQR Rénovation Sàrl as part of the European INBLANC project. The aim of the event is to identify practical solutions for improving thermal resilience without systematically resorting to air conditioning. The day will include discussions with experts, demonstrations of the EPIQR+ tool, a round-table discussion, and a convivial moment to continue the discussions.

  • What will the summer of 2060 be like in Switzerland?
  • How widespread are heat islands and what impact do they have on buildings and public spaces?
  • Will the buildings have to be air-conditioned?
  • If you decide not to use air conditioning, what are the alternative options and how effective are they?

In response to growing demand for our EPIQR+ courses, we are pleased to offer you a new version of our EPIQR+ introduction course. One-off online training half-day session on 3rd July from 08:30 to 12:30.

This course is specially designed for people who want to get to grips with the software quickly and understand its essential functions.

At a time when air conditioning is becoming as widespread as the climate change it is causing - and exacerbating - there are more energy-efficient alternatives. A quality fan, silent and used properly, can provide up to 5°C of cooling... and consume up to 40 times less energy than an air conditioner.

At Estia and elsewhere, these simple solutions are already in place, without compromising comfort, even in the middle of a heatwave. But you still need to choose the right model: silent, with no turbulence or flashing lights. And above all, we need to rethink our habits when it comes to heat.

👉 Sometimes, all it takes to change summer, is a well-directed breath of air.
